This piece of tree was washed up onto the shore in Melbourne after spending a long time drifting in the water. It had tree rot and fire damage. It was dried, cleaned up and the centre carved out in a bowl shape. A design etched to resemble underwater seaweed creatures was added. It was then sealed and polished. Suddenly it beamed “ I am beautiful again”. And it is, magnificent, like an old well worn leather chair that could tell a million stories. yuummmmmmm
