Kauri vase holder.

$320.00

The Kauri pine used for this vase holder came from a church pew in Cheltenham (vic) circa 1850. It is a beautiful wood to work with. Very rare to find nowadays. This vase holder was made from a 3 metre piece of Kauri, cut into wedges, glued, and turned on the lathe. Sealed and polished it gives a silky golden hue appearance. 2 part red epoxy resin was added to the wood to pick up the red glass colored vase inside.
