Doug Davies is a retired Dr of Chinese Medicine who now has more time to devote to creating in the workshop and studio.

His Woodwork is produced from recycled and sourced timbers, sometimes, integrating them with glass epoxy resin and airbrushing. He is a craftsman working with creative enthusiasm rather than the pressure of time. Shaping wood the way it didn’t grow.

His Art work has been growing since around 2012. The pieces are mainly produced on large sheets of wood, which allows for images to be routered and carved, so as to give depth and shade when viewed from different angles. Paint, airbrushing and glass resin are generally added to complete the work.
